“A Short
Walk From the Dunes” is situated in the heart of Tirrenia, a small
seaside village in the
province
of Pisa.
The village is immersed in the beautiful coastal pine forest. The
special name of the B&B comes from the fact that it is located only
a few meters from the sea, and to get there you will come across
beautiful dunes (a nature protected area initiative of the WWF),
which is also accessible to disabled people with a special nature
trail.
These dunes
have a unique ecosystem which is becoming a rarity on our shores.
The coast of
Tirrenia is almost 10 km long and it is located in the midsection of the
Tuscany
coastline. Wonderful walks, horseback riding or bicycling make the
perfect backdrop to an ideal and relaxing home for lovers of nature.
Tirrenia also has important facilities for swimming, leisure and a
variety of sports. It has 2 golf courses, beach volleyball, sailing,
diving, tennis, soccer, horseback riding, and night clubs. Tirrenia
also hosts the Olympic Training Center (CONI). Please note that our
resort has long been ever awarded the prestigious “Blue Flag”, an
award given to beach areas that follow strict environmental policies
for both land and water.
1500 meters
away you can find the Stella Maris Scientific Institute Foundation,
an important center for neuropsychiatry for children and
adolescents. The location of Tirrenia is very strategic since it is
located halfway between the cities of
Pisa,
with its important airport and
Livorno port that links us with
Sardinia,
Corsica,
Barcelona,
Capraia and Gorgona. You can reach art cities like Florence (1
hour), Lucca (30 minutes), Volterra (40 minutes ), San Gimignano (60
minutes), Siena (90 minutes) due to the proximity of the motorway
(5Km) and the Fi-Pi-Li (4 Km).
The B & B has
two rooms, recently constructed and furnished elegantly. Each room
has a private bathroom, television, and air conditioning. They are
surrounded by green trees and laurels, and a beautiful palm tree
whose shadow makes the garden cool and relaxing. The birds and
blackbirds cheer the day with their chirping. Every morning from
7.30 am
to 9.00 a delicious breakfast will be served in the garden if it's a
beautiful day or in your room in the event of rain. You will be
given a breakfast menu so that you can choose what you like the
most.
